The Symbol
The first sculpture imagined by Édéenne, the Butterflies Art Piece was born from the desire of a client who wished to admire her butterfly parure every evening. Édéenne therefore created a wall work bringing together all of her client’s jewels.
The Art Piece
From this emotion came an idea: to create a structure designed to hold the client’s jewels, enhancing them while keeping them concealed. Seventy-five butterflies on trembling settings surround them, further creating the impression of a flight of butterflies. The art piece thus becomes a wall-mounted case, a poetic trompe-l’œil that magnifies both the jewellery pieces and the interior of the person who lives with it.
Thus, even when they are not being worn, the jewels continue to live, to illuminate the space and to embody the Maison’s desire: to elevate everyday life.
